the deeper meaning of the secret life of bees

The Secret Life of Bees exhudes the importance of motherhood as it main idea. However, anyone who has or is a mom knows the key to being a great mom is being able to forgive. Whether its forgiving you kid for spilling a gallon of milk or running their bike into the car, forgiveness goes hand-in-hand with surviing motherhood. In the Secret Life of Bees, Lily had to learn to forgive herself for her mother's death in order to live happily with her new family. Lily also gave penance T-ray for abusing her all of her life, knowing that deep down he loved her mother, but she was not the only one who had to learn to forgive. August and June had to endure the aftermath of May's suicide. In the name of motherhood, they forgave May for leaving them, knowing she was with April. The Secret life of Bees shows that to nuture one's life you must be able to forgive them for there actions.
