Bamboo Moms
While watching National Geographic's tour of the Chinese countryside I see a pandas, dining on pounds of bamboo. I get to thinking how much bamboo reminds me of my mom. In contrast, my mom is not green nor fiberous, but in comparison they are almost one in the same. No matter which way the wind blows, they both flow with poise, they seem elegant and graceful no matter how hard the wind or patience pushes them. They are strong, withstanding natural forces of hurricanes and my all too hectic sports schedules. Like weeds, they spread from one area to next, whether it be a landscape to landscape or from work to home and back.
